Hospital zone

My papa is in the hospital now and things are looking good and if the doctor will give us the go signal we can be discharged on thursday and be in the pink of health. I remember the night we checked in and filling up the information needed for the medical id bracelets brought me back to the time i gave birth to Vin. It was very traumatic for me seeing Vin's bracelet on me and not on him because he had to rushed right away to the nursery to get needed attention. You can just imagine my horror seeing that tiny bracelet looped with mine. Good things turned out well.

11 years on Saturday

On Saturday, May 24, we are officially 11 years married!
Time sure flies fast, if you think about it 11 years is such a long time, but believe me when i say that i can still remember my wedding day with all the details as if it happened yesterday.

I am very lucky to have had a smooth married life ... Christian has never showed any infidelity streaks (heheheh!) , i have had three perfect children, have been a full time stay at home momma ever since, started a design business two and a half years ago and have been going well.

I cannot ask for more.

Cozy outdoor furniture

Talked to Christian an hour ago and he said he is staying in a very cozy resort in Anilao, Batangas, the amenities are great and the view on his porch is breathtaking. He is very impressed with the teak outdoor furniture that the resort has and said he is very comfortable and relaxed on it. I can't help but wish that i was there with him together with the kids and appreciate the view together.

Rolling away

Bea and Sam are enjoying their new skates and makes it a point to bring it in the car so every time there is a chance to skate they will wear it and skate away. They have developed their sense of balance and i must say it did give a boost in their self confidence on trying a new activity. When i see that they are comfortable with their shoes we will bring it a notch higher and soon hit the ice! Brrrr!

Interest in skates

Bea and Sam are fascinated with skating, they watch the skating rinks and asked me if it was easy to skate. I told them when i was younger that i was a good skater, both on the street and ice. There was even a time in my teenage years that i had a 2 pairs of skate shoes that i alternately wore so one would not be worn off right away. They listen excitedly to my skating stories and have expressed their liking to learn to skate.

Home alone

Christian is on a four day seminar in Anilao, Batangas for his emergency response duties in his office. He is in charge of evacuating, securing and giving first aid to the entire tower in case of fire, earthquake and other emergencies. He has had a lot of training/seminars already but this is the first time that it will be out of town. I am proud of him that he is thought of as a responsible person given such a big responsibility but a little nervous that if something does eventually happens ... he is the last one out of the building.

This is also the first time that we will be separated for a long time ... 4 days. Funny if you think about it, it's just 4 days right, but i really feel so sad. I told him over the phone last night (in tears of course ...hehehe) that he should stop all his applications that he has for overseas work, kasi Batangas pa nga lang over acting na ako, what pa yung malalayo. hay.

I salute wives who have their loved ones apart from them ... it is very difficult. To think mine is just away less than a week.

Internet talk

Had a reunion last week with my mama's side of the family and my uncles and i had a animated talk about the use of the internet at home. I told him that i am into blogging and have gained quite a number of friends and have bloghopped many times to know what is going on in different parts of the world at one given time. He on the other hand has been enjoying his retirement days playing online games and have also played casino in the comfort of his home. He told me that he reads online casino reviews first before jumping in so he is sure that the site is a legitimate and safe to site to play. We have a good conversation and i learned a lot from him and he after my prodding will be starting his own blog soon too. Talk about convincing powers. Sure was one power talk.

Thankful

I have been thinking these past few days and have realized once more that i have so many things to be thankful for. I have undoubtedly received so many blessings in my life. I am turning 40 this year and as i look back at my life and it is has truly been an amazing journey.

I have the best parents, siblings, husband and children i could ever hope for. I have had my share of good and lasting friendships throughout my growing years. I have always been and am forever thankful to all the struggles and challenges that has come along the way ... because if not for those i would not be who i am now. I am so thankful for everything and am looking forward to a fulfilling life ahead. Thank you.

Lighting

I am helping out my cousin with the needed decoration for her garden wedding next month. I went to the place to have an ocular inspection to know what is needed to make the area as festive as it should be. One thing to consider is the effect of the outdoor lighting to the flowers and tarpaulins that we are considering on putting in strategic places. Will work on this special project right away as we want it to be perfect.

Out of the house

Christian will be having a four day seminar in Anilao, Batangas starting tomorrow. It saddens me that he has to leave for a long time. I am considering staying over at my mom's house while he is in Batangas. I am preparing my checklist to make sure that we do not leave anything on. I have put on top of my list the gas stoves valves have to be closed, all the light switches, kitchen faucets shut tightly, widows closed all other electrical sockets checked before leaving. Will decide tonight if we shall relocate as i have a lot of ongoing projects.

xbox player

Christian lately has been lately hooked with playing the xbox and has been seeing him haggling with the kids for a turn. The games are very exciting and the colors and graphics are vivid and so crisp. He has watched a clip from you tube about it and when i asked him what he has to say he just said that there is only that he enjoys playing with and it's the the xbox 360 to the max.

It's raining in May

Rainy season has come early ... as i write this the rain is pouring hard outside.

I like the rain ... makes me feel calm and i can think better.

I have tons ... no, gazillions of things to do .. but with the rain atmosphere i don't feel harrassed nor pressure to do it ... i will take my sweet time and still get things done.

I am printing 200 pcs of personalized lootboxes as i am blogging and answering emails. Will have to cut them up later and make them into boxes by sunday. Am working on three clients now ... have inquiries for projects for next week deadlines.

Will have to go to school tomorrow morning to get the books.

Tomorrow is Bea and Sam's graduation for their Kiddie Crew ... then have to head to Greenhills to meet up with two clients for delivery.

Have household chores as well ... hmmmm ... i will finish them all ... after all i have the rain to back me up.

Rainy season na, bring it on!

Computer check

Got a good computer set up for my papa last week. Here is Christian inspecting everything ... he took care of choosing the parts and specifications of this computer, making sure all is brand new and organized inside before we closed the box. He even chose this cool box which had a see through window so you can see the parts of your CPU. Got new computer table and swivel gas chair too! It was indeed a good buy!

Let's blog

Blogging is something that we enjoy doing. We talk about just about anything that we deem is worth talking about we without blinking an eye blog about it. Blogging has been a good way to communicate and to get our message across, and it really has no boundaries as to were your post can reach since it is on the internet.

We have also joined some sites who give us a little something in exchange of a honest review of some sites or products. One of these good places to this is at SocialSpark.com. I was thinking wouldn't it be nice if we can blog about things that really interest us and not just blog about whatever is dished on us. I appreciate the fact that there is a wide scope of what you can write about. I am hoping to see more cool and great products and site to talk about to make blogging more interesting and fruitful. I am excited to blog about something that interests me for the sole reason that i can relate better to it plus i get to learn something new about it by going to their websites. Here's hoping to see a vast selection of things to blog about by us happy bloggers.

School bags

Summer is almost over with the onset of the rain in the afternoon ... sob. sniff.

Got bags na for my two girls ... ready for school na sila. They are actually excited with the "going back to school" scenario .. lucky me! Made sure they got very sturdy bags as they have tons of heavy books. They liked the idea that they can sit on their bags without worrying that it will get destroyed. Here thay are "sitting on" their newly purchased bags.










The bag are waterproof and the inner material is not made of cardboard and canvas like the usual bags, but the material of suitcases so they will not break or crack. Had bag tags made already too!

Be safe

We women are always branded as the 'weaker sex', but i believe otherwise. We may be smaller and leaner than some men when it comes to body frame but we can be as strong or even stronger if a situation call for it. I have heard a lot of stories where a woman can flee an male assailant with the use of self defense products that are available in the market today. You just have to know how to use them and be confident that you can tackle anything as long as your safety is at stake. We women are strong!

Fortune cookie

The kids had a kick out of their experience from reading the fortune from a fortune cookie. They recognized the fortune cookie from the movie "freaky friday" (starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis) where after reading the paper the mom and daughter switched place (lives).

They just were so thrilled to see an actual fortune cookie. They all took tiny bites out of the cookie before they passed it to me to consume ... hehehe!

The cookie was a bit sweet, resembling the taste of a sugar cone.

The fortune reads: We owe much to our parents. Recognize, appreciate and repay our parent's love.

Clear skin

Just got off the phone with my high school friend as she has been marveling at how fast her daughter has grown. She now has a teenager in her hands and has been dealing with different things now that she is no longer a child. One of the changes that is presently occupying her is the onset of skin breakouts. She is on the look out and asking me for best acne treatment available today for her teenager. I have given her some brands that i know will be effective in combating teen acne.

PS2 dvd games

My frustration with the copy of play station2 dvd Disney Princesses game has been hounding me for some time. I have had the dvd replaced thrice already. I am actually having two dvd replaced everytime ans one of the game is for my niece and one is for the girls. It seems there is a problem in reading the disc ... what bothers me though is i have bought another copy from a different store and still it won't work with our ps2 machine. Yesterday the girls played that particular game in their cousins house and with them it works well. Hmmm... i still have yet to find the dvd that can work for us. The search continues.

Mother's Day

Belated Happy Mother's Day fellow moms!

I had a great Sunday, and was again overwhelmed with show of love from Christian and the three kids. Celebrated the entire day and they gave me gifts that i know the girls really took time to make.

The moment i woke up they greeted me already and would not let me do anything and they excitedly prepared my breakfast (parang yung sa mga commercials ... hahah!). The when it was time to leave for lunch, they chose their own clothes and wore them. All i did was prepare the bag where i bring extra clothes.

We had a sumptuous lunch at Tempura and headed for the mall.

Went to my mom's house to greet her and have merienda. Went to my brother's house for the kids time to play with their cousins. The kids wanted to stay with their cousins while i had to make a quick trip to Mall of Asia to meet up with my client for her orders.

My client (who is the sister of Christian's former officemate, who is currently in the States is the one who will really have the party ... small world) so it was like talking and dealing with a friend. Our meeting went smoothly and after that Christian and i headed back to Makati to pick up the kids to have dinner.

Went home 12:00 am na, passed by Jollibee on the way home for ice cream but were surprised to know that they were already offering pancakes... so pancakes the kids had for a midnight snack.

It was truly a happy day! Happy Mother's day to all and hope you all had fun!

Classic timepieces

Now that our wedding anniversary is coming up i have been on the lookout for a perfect wedding anniversary gift for Christian. He has always have had a knack of receiving fine watches that are simple yet classic, he has very simple taste and not outlandish. I have been searching internet for a particular timepiece that i know he will appreciate and treasure. After all the search on different websites, i found raymond weil watch to be very promising and looks like this is the perfect one for him. They have a wide selection of very classy pieces to sporty pieces, dress pieces and formal wear. Choosing the right one proves to be a task as they all look good and elegant.

I myself found a particular watch that i like! Here is the picture, this is the latest addition to there Ladies Shine collection. Look at the elegance and simplicity it possess, but the versatility of this piece is remarkable. It can look as formal as a piece you would wear for a formal dinner and it comes with interchangeable steel bracelet or denim strap. Just my kind of watch! Will just find a way to lure Christian to look at the site so he can somehow show me what kind he likes and at the same time i can show him this particular one that i have my eyes on. It's like hitting two birds with one stone!

New software

Since the start of my sister's business and the purchase of a few units of computer for office use we have been on installing it with useful softwares to keep the company at par with the others. We have successfully installed applications needed for her business to keep the work flow smooth, one of this is the business performance management software to ensure great business. The staff has been working on it and have said that it is a very valuable and useful program for the company.

I was going through a lot of our paper work when i came across my envelope carrying important documents like passport, report cards, child life insurance policies, birth and baptismal certificates. I have been looking for this particular envelope for some time now as it holds very important documents. I made a mental note today to put in our bank safety deposit box to safeguard theses valuable documents.

Party details

My sister is going to celebrate her daughter's birthday next month and we are already in the middle of things. Our venue is ready for us, we have approved our food menu and have started with the decorations to make the place festive. We plan to give out our pretty party invitations early next week so our guests can save the date for this special day. I know the party will be a blast!

Sibling bonding

This is all of us, all four of us. Only our youngest sister is unmarried whilst the three of us are all married with children. I am happy that even if we have different families we still value our original family and still look out for each other. We all have busy lives but when we get together we somehow be our "old" self and have a great time with each other.

I love my siblings ... how can you not ... just look at their angelic faces! hahaha!

Three idols remain

The inevitable has happened, Jason Castro got eliminated leaving David Cook, David Archuleta and Syesha Mercado to vie for the top slot. He took it in stride and was smiling the whole time. It was a pleasant farewell.

Looks like Archuleta and Cook will fight it out in the finals. I am fond of Archuleta though. :)

Strong thoroughbreds

Bea and Sam loved riding on the horses when we went horseback riding in two weeks ago. They chose a brown horse and immediately named her "Gabriela" after the star from High School Musical. The horses looked very healthy and strong which prompted me to ask the trainer what kind of food they give to the horses and if they are given horse supplements to keep them in tip top shape. He said all their horses are well taken cared of from their grooming to their health. That's good to know.

Help on the way

A friend of mine is having a hard time dealing with her brother-in-law's recent addiction. It seems their entire family has been contemplating on sending him to a reliable alcohol rehab to help him control his need for alcohol. This problem as she said is really taking a toll on their family since it affects her sister too. I hope they be able to help him right away as addiction is a very big problem that should be addressed as soon as possible.

Favorite summer shots

Looking at the tons of digital shots i downloaded from my camera i found some favorite shots of the kids at the beach. Their hair disheveled and their smiles genuine ... and that makes the picture alive for me. I am so happy to be a mother to three amazing children!

House hunt

When i was chatting with my mom this afternoon she gave me the latest on our cousins who recently migrated. She said that they are doing well and are in the process of settling down. They have been talking to several mortgage lenders to help them with their housing need. Looks like everything is going on the right track for them. I could not be happier for them and they do deserve to get a good home.

Losing weight

Was in my obstetrician's clinic reception last week to have my routine pap smear that i regularly have to make sure everything is in check. I overheard the ladies talking about pills aiding them to lose weight. I joined in the conversation and gave my views and inputs about the subject and found out that two of them are taking Phentermine while others were taking slimming teas. I guess it boils down to the need of us women to look good not just for others but most especially to ourselves.

Jason out for sure

Uh oh looks like Paula Abdul's "prediction blunder" might come true after all. Jason Castro forgot some words from his song that he sang and that spells trouble. Looks like he is not giving much effort and the drive that he had when American Idol started has waned. It is a pity as he has a good voice and his looks is something that you can say one of a kind. Oh well.

Shopping task

I have a lot of things to do tomorrow, one of which is to look for a perfect gift for a Christening we are going to attend on Saturday. I want to give my newest God child something she can actually use right now and not wait till she grows up. I am thinking of toys but since she is still an infant she won't be able to play with it right away and my gift will just be stored for future use. Will be on the lookout for great looking baby clothes that i am, sure even the parents will appreciate. So clothes it is.

Mother's day gift

Since i spent the night in my parents home last night i decided to give my mom my mother's day gift in advance as i felt she could use it right away instead of waiting till Sunday. She was surprised that i was giving it ti her but all the same she was very happy and said that she is glad that she could put it to use right away.

I'm glad that i acted on instinct on giving my present last night.

Calling me

It is the wee hours in the morning and my eyes are really fighting to open. I actually have tons of emails to go through because i was not able to open my email for two days. My orders and queries have piled up and i can't even have the strength to reply to all of them tonight. I can actually hear our mattress calling me to lie down and call it a day. I might give in actually as i am seeing double with the numerous windows open now.

Hotel bookings

It has always been a common practice for us to see the place on the internet before booking a certain resort or hotel. But sometimes what you see on the net may actually not be the actual state of the hotel once you get there and that can really be a dilemna. Happily i have been assured when i searched and viewed laughlin hotels that these pictures are the present state of these accomodations as they have been visited and rated before is set up for viewing. What a relief.

Got home

Just got home an hour ago from the twin bday celebration of my papa and sister. Spent last night at my papa's house there too, kaya was not able to blog whole day today. I asked Christian to set up the computer that we bought, installed the OS and built the computer table and gas lift chair that took hours to finish.

We slept at 4:30 in the morning to finish everything and get the computer up and ready for action. Christian was a little groggy when he woke up at 7:00 in time to prepare for work, but am so thankful that he helped me make our gift really nice!

Ipods galore

Remember i was so excited with the three day mega sale in the mall last weekend and was really enthralled with the different kinds of ipods on sale at very good marked down prices. I was kinda tempted of getting one but given the many choices available i will have to think it over and search the internet to see their different features, before i take the plunge in owning one. I want the best!

Unbecoming photo shoot

Fifteen year old Miley Cyrus' photos for the June 2008 issue of Vanity Fair has created quite a stir. The shots for me were great shots ... but a fifteen year old model to pose for those suggestive looks got my disapproving look.

Her becoming a role model for the "tweens" with her Hannah Montana stint is something that she (and her parents) take in consideration before they said yes to these shots.

Just this weekend my girls went gaga over the Hannah Montana dolls at the toy store. It is such a pity if her popularity will die just as it has just started to pick up.

Buying a computer

Will be leaving in a while to help my papa buy a good desktop computer from sm. Christian will be the one to actually look at the specs of the usit as i do not know much about those things, for me as long as it is internet capable then it is okay with me. lol!

Will be getting a minimum pentium 4 pocessor. Will install the xp and the other programs later in the afternoon when we bring the computer to their house later. It is his birthday today! That is why i asked Christian if he can take a leave from work so we can help him out and have the unit delivered to him today and not the weekend.

Will join them for the birthday dinner there as well.

Wedding details

In two weeks time my favorite cousin will finally walk the aisle with her long time beau. It is really amazing what love can do to two people and an blessed that we are invited to witness that special moment. A wedding is a very special occasion indeed and nothing should be left unattended, there are tons of details to attend to. I remember my wedding when i was the one who really took care of everything from the church selection, menu for the buffet table, picking the wedding flowers, color motif of the bridesmaids dress and everything. It can truly be exhausting but believe me it was worth all my time to make sure the wedding turn out perfect.

Joint Birthday tomorrow

It's a joint birthday celebration tomorrow of my papa and my sister (my eldest sister, Kats)! I have gifts for both of them na! :)

Have two gifts for them each ... one of them is gift vouchers for facial at The Zen Institute at the Fort. I had a facial there last Saturday and it soooo nice!

Felt so relaxed!

Was even able to convince Christian to have a facial too! hehehe!

Life is beautiful

The first thing that caught my eye when i opened my yahoo page was this astonishing picture of full-bloom moss phlox in Tokyo, Japan. This is really breathtaking. Makes me really appreciate life and the things around us that we sometime take for granted. We live in such a beautiful world that we sometimes we forget to see it amidst all our everyday things. The kids and the adult (hahah!) had a god time riding different kinds of bikes! All the days we stayed in Baguio were spent with a quick 2 hour trip to Burnham Park to ride bikes! You can see that they really enjoyed the liberty of biking away in the cool sunmery air. :)
