Santa's gifts

Santa's schedule to the mall was something the kids look forward to because thats the time they receive Santa's gifts and it is their sign that they have been good all year round ... hehehe!
Was not able to get a photo with santa though, super rush lahat!
I pulled my kids aside and they were really star-strucked that they have seen Santa again, who by the way was in a rush as i explained to the kids the sleigh was waiting for him already, and they happily understood.

Bea got her sought after Game boy game and a Tamagotchi, Sam got a Princess Microphone (she loves to sing!) and also a interactive Tamagotchi (that can talk and exchange email with Bea's Tamagotchi) and Vin got his Motorcycle toy! Everybody happy!

They were always surprised that among all the kids who go and see santa they are the only ones who get presents under the tree... hehehe! Kung alam lang nila na dala ko na yun bago kami umalis at dinedeposit ko sa package counter so i won't have to lug it around for then to notice ... then i talk to the organizer or Santa himself before i bring the kids para alam na niya ang gagawin niya...hehehe! I have to get wrappers pa na di kapaprehas nung sa amin and i write their names on the present in a different way din :)

Will post more pictures soon!

So much to blog about

I tried to squeeze in a post before i take on my work, just to let my blog friends know that i am so much miss to make kwento!

This week was really one busy week, halos di na ako nakapag-chika chika sa ym, with tons of work, exams, practice nila Bea sa program and rush orders na lahat may deadline ng Christmas!

Tomorrow i have to finish 15 desktop calendar orders before i head off to the Christmas program nila Sam in the afternoon. Napakiusapan si Christian ng school kung pwede siya ang maging official na magcocover ng video, kaya need to be super aga pa sa venue.

Today nakatapos ako ng 20 one page framed calendars, 25 name meaning keychains, invite ng party and scanned a few pictures for parties for next week. Lahat ng mga ginawa ko today was delivered din lahat today sa Christmas party nila Bea.

Ang dami kong inquiries and orders but i have to decline na muna kasi di na talaga kaya ng powers ko, i still have things to wrap for our Christmas event as well.

May kwento din pala ako aboutr santa meetup with the three kids, di ko pa nadodownload sa computer yug mga pictures. Naging tradition na kasi sa akin yung hahanap ako ng Santa na nasa mall na may schedule then i will bring gifts for the three kids and secretly give it to "santa" na kunyari galing pa sa ilalim ng tree niya. hehehehe!

We did that last sunday, after my tiring trip sa Divi nung morning. That's another story. :)

O sige hinahabol na ako ng mga trabaho ko plus nilalabanan ko pa ang antok ko, have so many deadlines to meet, just wanted to say "hello" and advanced merry chrsitmas to all my blog readers!

Till my next post!

My hairstyle grew on me

Officially it took me dalwang tulog to fully appreciate my new "do" .. heheh, so friends na kami ngayon :)

It is different from what i usually sport, but nice na din, for a change i guess.

So yun lang, reporting lang na happy na ako sa sinapit ng buhok ko, sabi ko na OA lang ako eh.

Texted the bad feeling

Wala akong masabihan, kasi sila Bea was trying to say my hair was nice, and then on the same breath ask me why i had a haircut ... heheh! kids!

Texted Christian and told him that yun na nga nagpagupit ako (Christian by the way just likes my hair long, but it was always up to me) anyway, si Christian was in Aranteta kasi Christmas party nila. After a few minutes my cellphone rang, it was him, i actually did not expect a call, a text maybe but not a call. Anyway, lumabas lang daw siya kasi maingay yung live band and he asked me kung okay lang ba daw ako. And sabi niya baka naman maganda yan, di ka lang sanay, wag ka nang malungkot. Kasi dati nung mag-boyfriends pa la ng kami something like this happened din, nagpagupit ako sa Davids then ang pangit, i went home crying, then when he called me (iba office niya) he went out the office and went kaagad sa house namin to console me. So baka akala niya ganun kagrabe ... heheh. Di naman, oa lang talaga ako.

Will be going to the mall now with the three kids (wala pa si Christian, gagabihin yun) to maybe take my mind off my hair at baka kapag nailawan na siya ng mall light eh gumanda na siya sa paningin ko, if all else fails it will be forever in a ponytail!

Hair cut gone bad

I colored my hair a rich color of burgundy, nice color, i was admiring it and was commending myself that at last i have lasted this long and not have had the urge to have a haircut as i was really trying to grow my hair. It is now past my shoulders and was one-length, no bangs. Was looking at the box of the hair dye and saw a nice cut with layers on both sides but the length was still there. After i picked up Bea and Sam we headed to the salon and with my box i explained to the hairdresser what i wanted done, and she understood. So there i was having the sides of my hair trimmed just the way i wanted it. Then i told her to cut a little on the back and shape it so the ends would not be so straight, i told her to just round off the sides to eliminate angles. She snipped away. I kept on reminding her what i wanted and she assured me that she knows. I was kinda getting worried as she was cutting it higher and seeing more longer lengths of my hair on the floor, told her she was cutting higher that i expected.

She then got a full length mirror and positioned it at my back so i can admire the back view, i was shocked as it was all layered, gone were the straight hair i was admiring just a few hours ago! I did not hide my irritation and said this was not what i told her to do, far from what we talked about, and i repeatedly said that i kept on asking her if she was on the right track. To make matters worse, Sam came up to me and said "mama, you look different" .... oh my! If there was only a way to bring back the hands of time!

I stood up and of course paid her, she was uncomfortable and was trying to assure me that it was the "in" style and it suited me. Well, it was not MY style!

The moment i got home i shampooed and dried my hair and tried to work my way with my ceramic straighting rod ... trying to please myself and see the hairstyle in a different light. but to no avail, felt more frustrated.

Hay! I could just be over reacting but i still did not want this style, it may work for others but i still have to get used to it. Am actually contemplating of cutting it to the shortest length possible. Well see.

Truck lights

My sister is in the trucking business, and they have several trucks that pick ups automobiles and transports them to various places. Their business entails safety not only to the cars that they are moving but to their own truck as well. She invested on good and durable truck lights that she got from the internet. The lights she got has many purposes like it can be a warning device for other motorists and for brightening the road further for her truck drivers. She has on her trucks tail lights, Hella Model Driving Lamps, even fog lights to ensure the safety during any weather condition. Investing on good truck lights is serious business for her.

Touching story

A good friend of mine way back San Agustin High School days Carol Benavides-Bugay sent me an email with this nice story, i liked it kasi feeling ko dapat talaga ganyan tayo lahat sa pagtingin sa mga trials natin ... senti mode lang ... time of the month ... hehehe ... but seriously, i really found this touching, was having a hard time na nga reading it as tears welled in my eyes ...

so here goes ...

I walked into the grocery store not particularly interested in buying groceries. I wasn't hungry. The pain of losing my husband of 57 years was still too raw. And this grocery store held so many sweet memories.

He often came with me and almost every time he'd pretend to go off and look for something special. I knew what he was up to. I'd always spot him walking down the aisle with the three yellow roses in his hands.

He knew I loved yellow roses. With a heart filled with grief, I only wanted to buy my few items and leave, but even grocery shopping was different since he had passed on.

Shopping for one took time, a little more thought than it had for two.

Standing by the meat, I searched for the perfect small steak and remembered how he had loved his steak.

Suddenly a woman came beside me. She was blonde, slim and lovely in a soft green pantsuit. I watched as she picked up a large package of T-bones, dropped them in her basket.. hesitated, and then put them back. She turned to go and once again reached for the pack of steaks.

She saw me watching her and she smiled. "My husband loves T-bones, but honestly, at these prices, I don't know."

I swallowed the emotion down my throat and met her pale blue eyes.

"My husband passed away eight days ago," I told her. Glancing at the package in her hands, I fought to control the tremble in my voice. "Buy him the steaks. And cherish every moment you have together."

She shook her head and I saw the emotion in her eyes as she placed the package in h er basket and wheeled away.

I turned and pushed my cart across the length of the store to the dairy products. There I stood, trying to decide which size milk I should buy. A Quart, I finally decided and moved on to the ice cream. If nothing else, I could always fix myself an ice cream cone.

I placed the ice cream in my cart and looked down the aisle toward the front. I saw first the green suit, then recognized the pretty lady coming towards me. In her arms she carried a package. On her face was the brightest smile! I had ever seen. I would swear a soft halo encircled her blonde hair as she kept walking toward me, her eyes holding mine.

As she came closer, I saw what she held and tears began misting in my eyes. "These are for you," she said and placed three beautiful long stemmed yellow roses in my arms. "When you go through the line, they will know these are paid for." She leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on my cheek, then smiled again. I wanted to tell her what she'd done, what the roses meant, but still unable to speak, I watched as she walked away as tears clouded my vision.

I looked down at the beautiful roses nestled in the green tissue wrapping and found it almost unreal. How did she know? Suddenly the answer seemed so clear. I wasn't alone.

Oh, you haven't forgotten me, have you? I whispered, with tears in my eyes. He was still with me, and she was his angel.

Every day be thankful for what you have and who you are.
(Please read all of this, it is really nice)

This is a simple request. If you appreciate life, send this to your friends, including the person that sent it to you.

Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when the alarm rings. Thank you, Lord, that I can hear. There are many who are deaf.

Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long as possible. Thank you, Lord , that I can see. Many are blind.

Even though I huddle in my bed and p ut off rising. Thank you, Lord, that I have the strength to rise. There are many who are bedridden.

Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost, toast is burned, tempers are short, and my children are so loud.

Thank you, Lord, for my family. There are many who are lonely.

Even though our breakfast table never looks like the picture in magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced.

Thank you, Lord, for the food we have. There are many who are hungry.

Even though the routine of my job often is monotonous. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to work. There are many who have no job.

Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my circumstances were not so modest.

Thank you, Lord, for life.

Pass this on to the friends you know. It might help a bit to make this world a better place to live, right? A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift. A friend is someone to treasure.

For friendship is a gift. A friend is someone who fills our lives with Beauty, Joy and Grace and makes the world we ! live in a better and happier place.

God bless you and yours.

Lunch time

It's almost lunch and two hungry, weary and drained exam girls will be waltzing the front door really soon. Vin is busy playing gameboy while i slave away in the computer. Have to prepare for lunch so the girls can have a hearty lunch before i give them a bath then let them take siesta before we take on the books for tomorrow's tests. Got to go, will be back later to do my tags , as promised. keep on tagging girls!

Gold Investment

Believe it or not, but i have always been fascinated with gold, may it be bracelets, rings, earrings and necklaces. When i was still single i would always make a gold jewelry purchase every month and build a collection because i have always thought of gold as a good investment. I have yet to hear that gold depreciates, as it's value goes up every time, so i feel with gold as an investment you cannot go wrong. I have good gold pieces that someday i will pass on to Bea and Sam when they grow up. This is something that can not go to waste as the value of gold appreciates as time goes by. I am happy with my gold investment and am still working on acquiring a few more pieces to complete my collection.

i have so many tags to do ... and i do welcome it lalo na yung mga interesting sagutan! I promise to get on with it as soon as i finish my opps before they expire and i shall dedicate an entire hour to get all my tags done. I actually have two from Joey na nga sa tagal nag-patong na...hehehe! And around four more from individual blog friends ... maybe i can consolidate them in one post. Hmmmm... but then again they are perfect fillers ..hehehe So individual post for my precious tags!

Hopefully this will happen soon .. hehehe!

And i have yet to do my fave past time of bloghopping!

Studying for exams

It's a three day series of exams for Bea, Sam and ME! Three subjects per day and really it can be exhausting! It's like reliving my school terrors all over again .. heheh!

I first study with Sam and let Bea play with Vin so we are free from distractions, as Vin would always ride my back or hide sam's pencil or step on their books, hay! So once eliminated na sa school studying zone si Vin we can tackle our work peacefully.

After Sam, si Bea namn, si Sam naman bahala kay Vin watch sila ng Blues Clues DVD. With Bea naman i am also learning a lot, dati kasi parang di ko maalala yung GCF (greatest common factor) and LCM (Least common multiplier) parang i just breezed through them without understanding naintindihan ko na, kasi nga kailangan ko ipaintindi kay Bea. Tapos nag-cocontest kami ng mga practice questions, tag-isa kami ng paper then bibigyan ko siya ng sasagutan niya, tapos mag-uunahan kami (patulan pa ba ang bata?!) pero sometimes i will ask her "bea what's your first number in the question?" heheheh!

Disneyland here we come!

Finally, we have decided to take the kids to Disneyland as soon as summer break start! I am so excited for them and i can just picture their eyes light up when they see their favorite characters come to life in the parade. I quickly searched the internet for Disney World Tickets so i am sure i get the best deal there is. I want to get my tickets ready so i won't have to haggle there and assured that i get the lowest priced tickets available to the fun park. Discovered “Disney Magic Your Way” tickets that is available on the internet where you can have options to get it from as little as one day to as much as ten days at the a very reasonably low price. This is the way we are going as i really want to save on admission tickets so we have extra money for stuff in the theme park for souvenirs and knick knacks. I can't wait for summer!

Are you thinking so much?

Went to Dzoi's site to get my tag, when i saw this ... was kinda thinking (cluttering it further) kung how cluttered na nga ba ang aking munting kaisipan ... hehehe, kaya snagged this from Dzoi hehehe!

Your Mind is 55% Cluttered

Your mind is starting to get cluttered, and as a result, it's a little harder for you to keep focused.
Try to let go of your pettiest worries and concerns. The worrying is worse than the actual problems!

My tongue is suffering

What a title?!

But really my tongue is suffering! hehehe! Redundant?

Hay, it feels like there are small incisions all over the tip and sides of my tongue, its really painful! Ayan bordering OA na ako ... hahah!

I ate an entire large bag of Nagaraya garlic flavored (spiked ata yun eh) in one sitting! Once the fist nut went in it just would not stop ... hahaha! So ayun ang kwento ng aking bruised, hurt and suffering tongue. sob, sniff, hikbi....

PBB Mania and others

Hay, amidst all my projects, my trauma over habbie's loss, deadline and rush designs to try and fit in my already busy sked, my long-running bout with my cold, my ever dilemna to try and sleep early (but has never happened, as i sleep the earliest time 3am) to keep my going to the trips to the facial spa worth it, the up coming exams of the girls, Vin's antics and sudden requests to set-up his road rails (na talaga naman kakabuo k pa lang, biglang ayaw na) i still have to keep up with PBB!!!!

My opps have expired na nga ... sob... sniff... i really try to sneak in at least one, kaso wala di na talaga kaya ng powers. But really paid blogging really paid off .. hehehe! Pinapaipon ko muna para isang padala na lang ng friend ko ... hehehe, and i shall reap all my efforts, pero still i have my booming design biz to put sa harap ng queue .. hehehe!

Di na nga ako nakakanood ng Wowowee eh, (o sige talagang sagad na ako sa kabuduyan, well whatever rocks your boat ika nga) hehehhe! Sometimes i miss PBB at 530 slot kasi of motherly duties naman (na talagang top priority, though not demanding too much from me) kaya i try to catch it na lang sa internet (walang kawala) and a lot has been happening sa PBB house and is nice to watch and follow (sabi ko nga this is the first time that i have taken a fancy on the house)so yun lang. Share lang ng lola! hehehe!

Till my next post :)

Searching for a California School

Christian's sister will be moving to California early next year and of course there is a need for their children to be in school. She has two graders and two college level children that she has to make sure gets into good schools before the move.

I helped her search the net for a reputable and good California College. We found a great school for her College level kids at Westwoodwhere it offers a whole range of curriculum that will surely interest them. Getting them into good standing LA College is her top priority since they are in a very crucial stage in education. She was glad with the different campuses offered in the Los Angeles area alone and is happy with the amenities and degrees they are offering.

One more thing that pleased her is that they can get their Bachelor's Degree in less than three years, saves them time and money too. She is just waiting for her children's decision as to which college they will choose.

Weekend again

I just love the weekends!

It's friday night when before it was gimik night. now it's time for the three little "pigs", i mean "kids" to skip bedtime and play to their heart's desire. And Vin has her sisters again as they are home from school early.

Vin and i played restaurant-cooking-ordering the whole day. I will be at the computer and order play food from him and he would use his scooter to go to the other room and pretend to cook it and then deliver. Hehehe!

Looking for Habbie

Vin while we were at SM yesterday morning suddenly said, "Mama, i miss rabbit, let her come home, okay?" i looked at him and said, "Ok, Bibin, i will call the doctor later and ask if she is okay na." When Bea and Sam came down the bus the first things they said was "Mama is habbie home na?"

It breaks my heart that they miss habbie so much inspite that she was with us for only a few days. I am contemplating on getting a duplicate of rabbit ... but then again there are a lot of things to consider pala when getting a pet lalo na since i do not have any house help, kasi madalas i clean the cage then ako din ang magprepare ng food namin, so nagaalchol pa ako everytime i handle Habbie.

I also don't know if this was a coincidence, kasi Bea started to have some kind of itchy spots around her body after a day Habbie came, kaya lang nagka-rabbit na kami noon wala naman siyang allergy, pero noon naman as she was not much into carrying, not like now na parati niya kinukuha at cinacarry. Kaya i really don't know. Pero now i applied some ointment kaya halos wala na, parang nagdahilan lang.

So i guess, getting another rabbit to replace Habbie will be put on hold. I will have to endure their requests for habbie to come home muna and try to explain to them that Habbie will have to go back to her mama first.

Oh well.

I feel so bad

Our bunny rabbit "habbie" is getting fatter by the minute as the kids are really taking turns in feeding him, bought leafy veggies and carrots, will be going to the pet shop for pellets sana sa weekend, kaya lang ...

The other day kasi "habbie" stays in a basket kasi di pa ako nakakabili ng cage for her, i put lang cloth sa basket para she remains dry from her trip to the ladies room ... kaya lang nagmove yung cloth kaya nagkaron ng chance magka-puddle and "habbie" chose to lie there with all the "stuff". So Vin said "mama, the rabbit has poop on her head, can i still hold her?" .. napaisip ako kasi my sister naman pointed it out that the rabbit is from the family of rats, eh di ba deadly ang mga wiwi nila and all, so i told vin na don't touch her first. Dumating naman sina Bea at Sam and wanted to hold na din, this time napansin ko na halos lahat ng fur niya sa baba is medyo yellow na with stains. I searched the net if i could give the rabbit a bath... as per findings pwede naman daw only if really necessary... i deemed the situation necessary ... so i heated water for her, closed the bathroom door para walang draft .. and gave her a bath.

I first soaped her paws, kasi yun yung mga madudumi, then mabilis na buhos (mga 2x) lang then soaped with baby soap na super bilis and rinsed... the bath was over in 3 minutes. Wrapped her, and blow dried her right away.

When she was back in her white fluffy form i put her back in her now clean basket but she looked weak na. Panic seeped in na ... kasi before the bath she was okay ... i took her in my arms again and placed her close to my chest to make her more warm and i kept on talking to her. She was looking naman and then i told them to feed her while i was holding her, she ate naman, so i guess okay naman siguro.

Pero pag binababa ko na siya parang wala nang control siya sa mga legs niya, para siyang nagspiplit...OMG!
Till bago ako matulog i was by her side talking to her, and i put blanket on her, she usually sleeps sa room, eh naisip ko kasi aircon baka ginawin, so sa may door na lang siya natulog.

Nung nahiga na ako Christian said bakit daw di pa ako makatulog, sabi ko kasi madami akong iniisip, he said ano ba daw yun, share ko sa kanya ... so i said number 1 si rabbit i really should not have given her a bath, i feel so guilty, then may sagot si Christian na i just want the kids to be safe and all, then he said ano pa iniisip mo, then sabi ko naman yung schedule ko tomorrow punta sa school kasi nagpapatulong yung school for the program, then yung mga designs ko kung papano ko gagagwin, ano ang schedule ko sa papaprint, meetup, sino uunahin ko etc. Then he said ano pa? sabi ko naman "tapos si rabbit...." he said tapos na si rabbit ah, sabi ko naman recurring eh, paulit ulit siya sa akin.

To cut the story short, when i woke up the next day, open ko door and looked in the basket, rabbit has passed na. I really felt sooooo bad. Kasi walang ibang pwedeng sisihin, kundi ako. No amount of words can let me go of the feeling of being responsible for her loss, ako lang talaga.

Told the kids that "Habbie" is at the animal doctor muna kasi she is a little weak, and maybe i might give her back to her mom kasi she still needs to be with her mommy rabbit. Sad sila pero mukhang kay naman sila, am i convincing myself? Hay.

We have a pet!

Yes, finally was able to settle on getting a small rabbit for the kids. They were thrilled!

This is actually our third rabbit, the previous ones passed, but they did not see it and i always tell them that they had to go up to heaven as Jesus needs then first because their is a small girl there who needs a company of a rabbit, they always understood. And then the new rabbit would suddenly just appear again, and i would say that she is back.

I bought it last Friday, a white small baby bunny, and they named her "Habbie".

All was well ... but today something happened ... and it is all my fault. :(

oh well, will let you know about it later ... i feel so guilty ... i have no one else to blame ... i loved "habbie" pa naman and would put her face on mine as it was a powder puff to the delight of Sam ... but ... i really feel bad. Was not able to sleep nga last night.

Sige i will compose myself muna, Vin wants to play daw muna.

Will be back soon.

Spanish Speaking Site for Hotels

My husband's officemate from Spain hardly knows any English and will be very hard to find him his preferred accommodations when they go on their business trip since he only speaks Spanish. But he is very precise with his wants when it comes to getting a hotel room, he has certain criteria that he want to be met before he can say that that is the particular hotel he wants. Luckily, my husband found a great site descuento en hoteles where he can personally search for his hotel with ease as the site is in Spanish. Now as i type this he has made reservations to the hotel that he likes and at a very reasonable price, what great convenience! He now is ready for other things in his agenda as his hotel requirement has already been solved.

Up and about

My kids are off in school and only Vin is here with me again, sleeping pa actually. Still have a cold but surpassed the worst. I am up and about dong my regular chores and glad that i did not baby my icky sick feeling and fought it head on, may kasabihan ngang "Doktorin ang sarili" and that sentiment prevailed.

My sister celebrated her birthday yesterday, we had a festive lunch and mall hopped at Rockwell for serious girl bonding, kaya lang kasama pa din namin si Vin at mala-kangaroo na naman kaming dalawa ... hehehe!

All in all it was a fun birthday! We went home almost 11 am na, kasi school pa nga today. So there!

Under the weather

It's almost two days now and i am plagued with a heavy head due to a bad cold coupled with fever. I really hate this feeling. I have so many things to do and these are things that cannot wait. So bottom line, i still do it yet i feel so sick. I am really trying my best to fight it as i do not want to lie down as my head is spinning with tons of deadlines to meet. So here i am still dealing with this icky feeling and hope tomorrow i will feel better.

I missed my favorite show Pinoy Big Brother because i would rather stay upstairs and try to lie down.
Went to Divi last friday and did not enjoy my shopping trip as i was starting the cold. I really feel bad.
Hope tomorrow i will be better, it's my sister's birthday!

Rebellion is over

That is what the government wants to call it, a Rebellion.

This happened all in a day and with what was accomplished i don't know how it will affect us.

One direct effect on us is there will be 12:00 am curfew starting tonight that will last till 5:00 am, for howw long it is still yet to be decided.

I watched the live video the entire day, switching channels looking for a better coverage.

For me the day was wasted.

I am not for the government nor am i against them ... apathetic? well, i don't know.

I was just thinking what if that day i was going to have my wedding reception at the Pen, i would surely run like crazy!

Oh well ... tomorrow will be a normal day again.

Coup brewing?

Uh-oh looks like there is going to be a coup about to start ... my brother texted me to watch the news and true enough there was a incident where trillianes and lim staged a walk out from their trial at the Makati RTC and walked all the way to the Manila Peninsula Hotel and is holding a presscon as i type this. Hay!

Will watch some more news to get more updated with whats going on, but texted Christian (he is in a seminar) and told him to steer clear from Makati area) first.

Made my day :)

I just submitted my post when i got an email alert, so i opened and checked it ... was so happy with it!

Hello Melissa Baylosis,

Congratulations!! Your PayPerPost post, Discounts Abound, has been
automatically approved based on your high quality performance as a PPP

(some parts omitted, mahaba yung email eh)

Congrats again on being an outstanding PPP Postie!! And watch for more
auto approvals!!

Hehehe! This really made my day (but hey i could win the lottery later, hahaha,
just have to buy a ticket!) LOL!
La lang, parang may feeling lang of fulfillment (naks, careerin na ba ito!) na after
all the work done here appreciated naman pala mga efforts, it's not easy din diba.
We paid bloggers have to go and study and review the site we are given, choose the
right words and give it a certain appeal, and that it challenging! hehhehe!

Yun lang, share ko lang ito, pero have to sign off na muna and have to attend to my
designing, heheh! will try to squeeze in a few opps later in the day!

Holiday Tomorrow

It's going to be a long weekend as tomorrow is a holiday! Was able to get my sister on a shopping date tomorrow morning. Christian will stay with the kids so i can have both my hands free .. hehehe!

But you know, when i don't have the kids with me when i go out i think about them a lot and wish i had brought them along, parang mas kampante ako nakikita ko sila, nevermind ne medyo hirap ako, hay, ewan ko ba.

Kaya sometimes instead of going i tend to just stay kasi naiisip ko mahihirapan ako when i bring them but i don't want naman to leave them ... hay ano ba talaga kuya???

Weird no?

Well that's motherhood for you i guess.

But tomorrow is an exception as i will be buying stuff for them .. pero i know when i am there my mind will still be here at home thinking if they are okay. Oh well, i think it is me who has separation anxiety!! hahaha!

Webloyalty a good partner

Having your business hooked up and available in the internet 24/7 is really a trend nowadays. Given the premis that people are all too busy with work and the only time they get to sit down is when there is a computer linked up with the internet. The sun is out

Funny but it has always been a trend that if the weather people say to brace ourselves for heavy rains and suspend classes chances are the sun will be shining like crazy! So it happened again, and off i was doing the much needed laundry time.

Dami na talaga mga clothes na needs to be washed, so the washing machine worked overtime today, the kids helped out too, they played with bubbles while i slaved away ... hehehe!

I had a lot of designs to finish and upload for approval, so what i do is i load the washing machine go down to the computer attach my design then go up again (our washing area is at the rooftop) my legs feel like lead now! hahah!

Tomorrow is school time again, will have to continue my laundry time again tomorrow para maubos yung mga damit namin.

Need to use all my special powers!

No classes tomorrow

Heard from the news that there will be no classes for all grade school students tomorrow because of the typhoon. Signal number 1 is declared.

On-line Backgammon

One of the favorite games my family loves to play is backgammon and i can attest to the fun this game can offer. I decided to go a step further and search the internet to play backgammon online. Happy with this site as it is user friendly and i can play backgammon competitively as they even have live backgammon tournaments everyday. This time around i can play my favorite game at the comfort of my home and yet stand a chance to win cash.

I was playing top with Vin when i got a text from Christian asking me if we were alright. Was suddenly nervous so i called him right away. I got surprised when he said there was just an earthquake and asked me if we are okay.

Was fortunate to have not felt it. Not for me but because i was thinking of Bea and Sam who were in school, but since the school was near our house they too did not feel it. I was relieved.

Heard from my sister that it was intensity 3.

I am getting ready for the after shocks though.

Kitty Award

Thanks to Eds for this kitty friendly award :)

Coincidentally we brought my sisters weeks old kitten to PAWS, an animal shelter last Saturday. My sister really was keen on keeping the kitty but she is scheduled to have a puppy anytime soon, and they already have a dog so having a kitten will really turn out to be a handful. The next best thing to do was to give "Hobbes" (yes, she named the kitty) to the animal shelter where he will be better taken cared of and he would be with other cats as well. Luckily, there was a mama cat there who gave birth, so he could nurse and join the existing litter there. It was sad because the kids have already adapted a liking to Hobbes, but given the scenario, keeping the cat would really not be wise. So there.

Passing on these award to any kitty lover blogger! Meow! :)

Home school for free

Being a mom to three growing kids can really be challenging. I have been pondering on giving them a quality by having them home schooled. I must admit that i will be up against a lot of workload if i am going to take up on this challenge. I searched the net and found a great home school program at K-12 Free Home school. Yes, you read it right, it's also Free! So you wonder how can it be offered for free, Here's how it can be tuition-free. for your kids as well.

I also went and browsed through Course Catalog to see what best suits the needs of my three children.

You also don't have to worry about not teaching good Christian values as they reflect Christian teachings too.

It is also comforting to interact and post queries or concerns in their forums and boards and interact with other home schooling parents. You also in turn can get sound suggestions from fellow mommies and academic advisers for free.

My children are enjoying the lessons since they are very interestingly presented and geared to their natural instinct to learn and grasp new knowledge. You can download videos, printable study guides, even projects that you can do together and so much more.

Learning should really be fun for the kids not to resent it. I am glad i found K-12 Home school, my partner in my children's learning 24/7 at no cost!

Pinoy Big Brother Update

The most funny episode of PBB i ever watched was last Friday! I was laughing like crazy with matching clapping of hands pa! I have not laughed that much for a tv show for some time, so this will really dwell on my mind for a while. Hahaha!

It was Mariel's asking Kuya to ask Jon if he likes her! It wouldn't sound hilarious if you did not watch it, hay! Anyway, just shared that i really enjoyed that episode and still remember it and leaves me a smile!

This just in ... Angel Locsin joined the PBB house ... goodluck Riza! hehehe!

Weekend Sked

Will be heading to my Mom's house tomorrow morning, and we are scheduled to go to PAWS, an organization that my Lola-Lola started, it is a shelter for stray and abused animals.

My sister got a stray cat (days lang ata, kaya super baby pa) and she is thinking of keeping it, so she wants to go to Paws and ask what measures should be done to take care of the kitten.

Will bring the kids there too, so they can see the other animals in the shelter.

Off topic, on Sunday plan to go to Divi, hope matuloy. :)

We have the same Idol!

Sure we all have someone we like and fancy, it could be a singer, a rocker, a group, a celebrity or even a contestant to a singing contest. Wouldn't it be nice to have someone or even a group who shares your likes? Well search no more as there is such a site to bond and share your photos, news and any small tidbit about your Idol. Indulge in all rare photos and join cool forums too!

PR drops

I read a lot about the dropping of page ranks, sad but true.

I researched about it and found that google has been eyeing on ppp affiliates with tons of badges asking them "to hire me" and "review my post", so was told to take down a few and just keep small ones which still shows affiliate badges.

Well no harm in trying.

I think it has something to do of bloggers not patronizing adsense and gearing towards their competitors. So will try my luck this time and bring back my adsense widget. I will see what will happen.

If you will notice i have two widgets displaying my pr, one shows a three and one shows a pr of 0. So which is which? I do not know as they both update themselves on their own.

But really PPP have been a great factor in our blogging income and that we cannot deny. All my posts have been approved and am still waiting for available opps ... hehehe!

anyway, here is one thing i am trying now, that does not require a page rank number, see the post after this and try it out if you like it. Just click on the "participate" and see where it will take you. Maybe this is something good too, well see.

Backgammon 101

Playing Backgammon during our family reunions leave me baffled as i can see they are enjoying the game and yet i feel left out as i do not know how the game goes. Luckily i found a good site to finally learn the rules and how to in playing backgammon so i no longer will feel left out. To fully put my new found knowledge in playing backgammon to use, i play online to further make me a novice player. You can try it yourself at 1 on 1 Backgammon and try your new found skills in playing.

Wowowee meets Kuya

Was watching Wowowee (Yeah, i watch this, o ano baduy na ba talaga ako?) hehehe!, so anyway i just love watching the contestant's stories, natotouch ako, then lipat ko na din, don't like watching the other parts of the show, just like the interview portion. So anyway, enough justifying my preference of a noontime show ... hahaha ... when Willie was talking the voice of Kuya was aired and they talked about Mariel's stint as a housemate as they (wowowee) miss her na. So as again, Kuya with his tone said yes Mariel is coming out ... "sa takdang panahon.." heheheh! Funny!

The Brothers are back

Hay, this PBB Brouhaha really is getting me interested ... was really happy to watch that Baron is going back in the house with his older brother as individual housemate now. I was looking at Baron's face when he was seated sa confession room chair awaiting if the "people" still want him to remain in the house. Hay!

Kaya lang, sayang noh, Macoy left the house na, well will talk about that in another post (pampadami dito for my opps..hahahah) i know a lot can relate about that ...hahahah!

Friday na naman, have plans to go to Tutuban again on Sunday, this time for some serious shopping! Wish me luck!

Portable Car Hand Controls

My brother's friend recently figured in a minor car accident and this accident damaged his legs and now hinders him from having control and use of them. It was something that really devastated their whole family. But his friend would not lose hope and still face the world with a bright attitude and tried to do things that he was used to doing before the mishap. One of the things he wanted to bet back on was his driving a car again. He now can go around the city using his Car Hand Controls which makes him drive using his hands with ease. The AZ-1 Automotive Hand Controls really was a big help to his recovery process as it is very light-weight and easy to use. Given it's use it still remains to be stylish and strong for everyday use. Since it is adjustable you can tailor it to the one who will use it in terms of length, that more it is easily removed from any vehicle so you can use any car with it too. He said it also gives you a risk free trial period of 30 days if you are not satisfied with it you will be refunded, but given the feedback i am geting i don't think he has any plans of returning it, he is one satisfied car driver.

Voluntary Eviction

The news just broke out! Macoy and Ethel staged a voluntary eviction eariler today. Went to the pinoy big brother website to confirm (o di ba?) hehehe.. and yes there was an article there saying that Macoy got irked with Kuya with regards to a mini film they were doing in the house.

Only now have i been to their official site, so i bookmarked it na ... hahah!

Anyway, later 5:30 uber will give us the details... hmmm.. tagal naman ng time! lol!

Capella University

Nowadays juggling your finances makes you leave school earlier than expected to look for a job to help out the family. Education is sacrificed to be able to make a living first, but that should not be the case as education is important and something that should not be bypassed. But now i found a way to give way to getting a good education and yet not have to leave your means of living through capella university. Capella University is a reputable accredited online university offering a wide range of courses from business course, psychology, human services and many more interesting courses that will land you a stable career in the future. Having a good education should never be compromised no matter what.

Geisler Brothers

The Geisler brothers drama is something that really hit a nerve for me, it was really about bonding and loving each other unconditionally. Pero before i begin, i want to say na i do not know them personally, so this is really just an observation of the real life tv drama on the big brother house.

Looking at them and seeing them react over some simple things like picking cigarettes/wine over a phone call to a loved one shows how two people who grew up together yet still be different in choices. Totoong totoo talaga yung mga reactions nila.

But galing noh, i was moved to tears when donnie said he wanted his brother to stay, sacrificing himself, but you can see both of them really wanting to stay. Tapos sa twist of events nung tinatanong na sila ni kuya biglang sinabi ni Baron na si Donnie ang mas dapat mag-stay. Feeling ko sa labas they were really not this close, as they had different lives, pero having stayed together for some time, looking out for each other, bottom line is they will sacrifice for one another talaga. La lang, naisip ko lang na sana i can instill in my children this kind of attitude and love for each other pag malaki na sila. Lalo na ang sarap manood nito kasi they are both boys na talaga naman hirap mag labas ng mga emotionsm, but they shone on this moment, their mom should be so proud of them.

Hay, kwentong pinoy big brother, naaliw ako sa kanya, ewan ko ba nagustuhan ko ito ngayon, dati pag may nagkwekwentuhan about it, di ko pinapansin, yun pala i will also be hooked...hahahah!

A friend in Kitty

Glad to have gained good friends, thanks kitty for this token! :)

"In this blogosphere, I wish to gain more friends...friends who can be there for you not just physically but emotionally & spiritually."

Tagging all my friends! :)

Put your character in the subject line and forward to your friends and back to the person that sent this to you.

Very interesting to see 'who' your friends are!

(10-16 points) You are Garfield :
You are very comfortable, easy going, and you definitely know how to
have fun but sometimes you take it to an extreme. You always know what
you are doing and you are always in control of your life. Others may
not see things as you do, but that doesn't mean that you always have to do what is right. Try to remember, your happy spirit may hurt you or others.

(17-23 points) You are Snoopy:
You are fun, you are very cool and popular. You always know what's i n
and you are never are out of style You are good at knowing how to
satisfy everyone else. You have probably disappeared for a few days
more than once but you always come home with the family values that you learned Being married and having children are important to you, but
only after you have had your share of fun times

(24-28 points) You are Elmo:
You have lots of friends and you are also popular, always willing to
give advice and help out a person in need. You are very optimistic and
you always see the bright side of things. Some good advice: try not to
be too much of a dreamer. Dreaming too big could cause many conflicts in
your life.

(29-35 points) You are Sponge Bob Square Pants: - this is me (") You are the classic person that everyone loves. You are the best friend that anyone could ever have and never wants to lose. You never cause harm to anyone and they would never not understand your feelings. Life is a journey, it's funny and calm for the most part. Stay away from traitors and jealous people, and you will be stress free.

(36-43 points) You are Charlie Brown:
You are tender, you fall in love quickly but you are also very serious
about all relationships. You are a family person. You call your Mom
every Sunday. You have many friends and may occasionally forget a few
Birthdays. Don't let your passion confuse you with reality.

(44-50 points) You are Dexter:
You are smart and definitely a thinker... Every situation is fronted
with a plan. You have a brilliant mind. You demonstrate very strong
family principles. You maintain a stable routine but never ignore a bad
situation when it comes.

Try to do less over thinking every once in a while to spice things up a bit with spontaneity!

Snag this if you want to know the cartoon personality in YOU! :)

Another coffeetable book finished

Yey! I feel so accomplished as i finished a 40 page layout for my coffeetable book order in two days! At first i was apprehensive to take it because it was on a rush mode since the they will be bringing it to the states, but my client insisted so i took the challenge and yes, i finished it!

Now i have to rush to the nearest facial spa to do some wonders to my tired and dull skin ... hahaha! But i enjoyed doing it and you can view the layouts in my design site in a little while, am uploading pictures now. :)

I have three more orders for the book now, but happily they are not on a deadline. After all the orders will also make books for Bea , Sam and Vin each too.

35 days to go!

Whoa! Heard from the news that it's only 35 days to go before Christmas!!

I am aware that it is near, but now hearing the actual countdown is like pressing the panic button. I have so many things to buy! I have not started yet. Al that i am buying is for things that they need and play with ... no Christmas gifts yet.

I better start by next weekend or i will really be in trouble. hahah!

I have to get presents from Santa too.

A steal

Good thing i brought Vin with me to the night market last, got him these suede rubbershoes for only P150! What a steal! They grow up so fast and before you know it he has outgrown the shoes right away. Kaya happy ako sa purchase ko.

Got toys din for the three kids, sayang was not able to start on Christmas shopping yet as i was with them. I just let them point to the things they want, but i tell them that not because they show me they will get it, kung baga survey lang ..hehe! I am glad my children are not 'bilmoko" kinds, kaya naman i really try to buy them kung pwede naman di ba, after all minsan lang sila bata.

Solution for Obesity

Obesity is a serious condition and it should really be attended to as your health is your only wealth. Gone are the days that we just shrug our shoulders with this condition, there are ways to battle this and one is through having a simple surgical procedure done like gastric banding. It is a no fuss out-patient procedure where you are inserted a inflatable gastric band and placed on top of your stomach to simulate the feeling of fullness, thus letting your body feel that it has had enough food and will not crave for more. These surgical procedure is done by highly skilled laparoscopic surgeons at the Journey Lite, and you are assured of fast recovery. After going through the procedure they also offer emotional support groups as well to help speed recovery.

Big Brother Eviction

Was never a follower of the Pinoy Big Brother ever since it started. But or the first time i am now hooked with this season's show .. i don't think i have ever missed an episode ..heheh!

Late na ba? hahha! But really i enjoy watching it, and my sisters like to watch din kaya it's nice to talk about it every time something happens.

Tonight is the surprised eviction of one housemate, was suppose to go and have a facial tonight, but i really want to watch so i deferred my beauty treatment ..hahaha, tomorrow night na lang. :)

Funny but if you say StayAtHomeMom you would think she would have a lot of free time on her hands right? After all she is JUST home. I often thought about that about my mom, when we were off to ride the bus i would see her after preparing all our baon, getting us dressed, bags fixed she would sneak a rest on the sofa. I was thinking she would now have free time as soon as we go. But now that i am a SAHM for 10 years, all of that has changed.

Being a SAHM practically has no breaktimes, no nap time and no room to be idle. But sure if you want to go and take the road less travelled and keep the house as untidy as ever, sure you will have all the time, but it will get back at you as you will also be the one to fix it up. So, might as well do it the Mcdonald's way "clean as you go" as i have learned!

But i embrace being a SAHM! I would never exchange it with any job in the entire universe, my merit awards are my children! :)

Landing a fulfilling job

My cousin-in-law has been in between jobs for the longest time that i can remember. But learned the other day that he is now doing well with a good and fulfilling job, it was good news for me! He said was able to put into good use his time on the internet to find him a stable and rewarding job through an online executive recruiting firm and he is now reaping the rewards. Landing a job is easy as it gives you reputable firms openings and vacancies, gives you a rundown of what they are looking for and you can match it to what you like and your educational attainment and expertise. You can start your seach by the desired location you would like to work, and categories that you may be interested in, saving you valuable time of applying only to jobs you think you are good in and will excel in.

Billiards on Saturday

Just got off the phone with Christian, i can feel he is still hiding the discomfort of his workout from yesterday, afraid that i will again laugh at him. Hahaha!

Now, he announced that he was also picked to join the Billiards tournament on saturday. Aba, natuwa naman ata mashado! Remember he finished his bowling stint a few months back, now volleyball, and the latest billiards ... hmmm.. may balak atang sumali sa olympics ah! heheheh!

Don't get me wrong i have never stopped him from joining extra curricular activities, i actually push him to join and be with his friends, he somehow feels guilty that he is enjoying without me .. heheh!

I am happy that he is having some fun outside the office, he needs that, and i have always supported him, we are on our 10th year na and going pretty well. :)

Christian's aches and pains

Christian went home late from the office last night as he has volleyball practice, gearing up for an office tournament. He has not played for a long time, but during his College days up to his RCBC days he was a player for the bank. But after sooo many years, he tried it again and came home with a sore back, an aching arm and the feeling of exhaustaion as he told me that he can no longer jump as high as he used to. "Tumatanda na ako Dub .." was his soft whisper to me ... hehhe... what did i have to say "Eh, mabisyo ka eh! Pasali-sali ka kaagad, dapat may practice ka muna at least one week, eh kaw tournament kaagad tournament kaagad sinabak mo eh" ... lol! So much for the pandadamay he was looking for ..heheh! I just love teasing him!

Safety on the internet

We all go through a lot of websites before we finally find the very thing we want to know about. We browse and visit various sites, some could be safe and some could just be waiting for the kill and pass on the virus to us. Good thing there is a solution to this problem with ESET as they provide a layered security method that leaves no virus safe. Some of the virus scans are good only for well-known viruses now, but what about the ones that we have yet to discover? With this layered method you are given security in the internet with anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewalls, protect your identity on the net and many more. Don't be a statistics and get yourself protected with the layered method that will save you from the evil minds on the net.

School starts early

My two girls school will start early from 7:30am till 5:00 pm ... that is so long! That also means i have to prepare three packs of food ... one morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack. Whew!

Today is the first day of the new schedule, that will run till Christmas break as they are allotting some time for their Christmas program rehearsals and still have time for their academics. I was pretty sleepy this morning as i slept at 3am and had to finish a deadline, so that means i was not able to cook rice! So told the girls i will just bring their lunch to school later piping hot, pampalubag-loob ... hehehe!

Will have to tell Vin as well as that is his time for his morning shows, i guess Barney will just have to wait for a teeny bit.

Beauty Award :)

I am so flattered .. hehhe.. kahit "feeling lang" ... thanks Joey!

Sometimes little and simple things like this can really brighten your day!

I am passing on this two great beauty achievements to pretty and sexy moms like Jody, Dorxie, Suzanne and Arlene "mommy ni rea" :) Stay pretty and let your reign last a lifetime!

Hair School another option

My sister in law is doing good working as a Chief Hairdresser in a luxury liner and she is enjoying what she is doing. creating many styles and bringing smiles to her client's faces. A few years back she searched for a reputable all service hair school to get her started. She was able to learn a lot of techniques in the cosmetology department and ways to enhance her skills. She enjoyed learning various trade secrets and these are learnings that she can even use to herself not just for clients. She said that once she graduated she was even given places where she can use her knowledge as the school was tied up with good establishments in the salon industry as well as cruise ships and even fashion world. She is fortunate to have enrolled and finished with a good beauty school that helped her future.

Coke Drinker

Are you a Coke drinker?

I have been drinking Coke for the longest time. It's my favorite carbonated drink over anything. It's sometimes Coke or nothing to me. No matter how thirsty i am.

I never tried drinking coffee in the morning, it was always Coke. For the record of how much i consume? I usually finish one 1.5liter of Coke everyday. That sounds a lot? But for me it's just right. :)

What's your favorite drink in the morning?

My Cellphone

Am thinking of getting a new phone. Nothing is wrong with my present one, but after seeing a lot of new cellphones out in the market, the idea is being entertained ... heheh! I saw a lot of new ones from China, looked really high tech and was relatively low priced. I began thinking if these were the ones that just explode when being charged, sour graping? hahah! But i was kind of open to the idea because it had big screens where you can watch tv, as if the tv at home isn't enough that you still have to bring it with you! Lol! It was just a novelty that i am a bit interested in,. Will have to look around first.

Baby Needs

Heard thrilling news from my good friend and she happily announced that she is expecting twins! She already has a preschooler and is really looking forward to taking care of two more little angels. I decided to help her out with her shopping for new essentials for her new bundles and to help her locate the best and complete baby store to meet all her new baby stuff needs. Since i am thinking that she really cannot waste time window shopping and visiting a lot of stores and finally decide what to buy, i found a perfect place to answer all her queries and get the best deal possible, this way she gets to buy what she really needs and for her baby's needs as well.

Shopping with the three children in tow really can be a handful, aside from the bags (but i always come prepared, i bring what i call my "divi" bag with me to put everything inside) but keeping the kids amused and their spirits high is my top priority ... so a trip to any mall is not complete without a visit to an amusement center. Here is pictures of Vin versus Sam, while Bea acts as a referee and a challenger to the winner! I am glad i have three kids as they really can amuse themselves on their own, it's like having their own playgroup all the time!
Vin smiling and excitedly waiting for the puck!

Bea looking on and waiting for her turn

Sam aiming for the goal!

Saw Peachy at the Night Market

We just stepped out of the arcade to hit the night market and were still discussing which way to go to the right or to the left side when a smiling face girl went to Sam's side and was looking out for me, then she went to me and said "Melisse? Peachy!" and i said "Uuuyy, peachy!" and gave her a kiss, it was seeing a long time friend! Did not think na i have not brushed my hair for the past hours and have been to the streets of Divi, i just went up and gave her a kiss .. hehehe Peachy and i have been long time ym chat pals, she knew it was me daw when she saw my kids ..hahah ... over exposed! I have had a lot of surprised meeting encounters with my egroup friends and they always recognize my children or husband first then they know i am not far behind... hehehe! Glad to see you peachy! :) Panay shopping! Kami nakauwi 12:00 na, kami na ata nagsara ng night market eh! :)

Target your market

My Aunts who have a thriving business has had no problems getting prospective clients even if they are just starting out and they are really doing well considering them being new to the business scene. She said one of her trade secrets is getting into a good target direct mail lists to reach your customers. She said it is not a waste of money to send out mail to promote your services to people you think will benefit or be interested to what you have to offer other than send out thousands of mail to just anyone in the directories. One of the secret is getting a traget marke where you will give out your mails so there is a strong probability that they will respond to your offer.

Mini Donuts

When we went to mall, the three kids were really excited to get some mini cinnamon donuts at the other end of the mall. Letting them know that it was still a long walk from where we were and we were going to pass by a lot of fast food joints already i was trying to strike an exchange deal somehow. But they were really just thinking of sinking their teeth on those freshly cooked doughnuts. So there we went and took the long walk. When we got there to their dismay, cinnamon flavored was out of stck. Their faces dropped and they suddenly felt the heavyness of their feet... hehehe.. i looked at the other flavors and decided to just put sugar on their doughnuts. So i told the manong just sugar, the kids were a little off with it and did not seem interested anymore. When i got the bag of doughnut, shook the bag, then offered it Vin was the very first one to put his hand in, took a bite and said proudly "Mmmm, it's yummy!" and took a bigger bite! That did it, the two girls dug their hands in as well ... and there they finished three bags (3 dozens) downed with cool icy water.

Tutuban Madness

Finally was able to go to Tutuban, kaya lang late na kami nakadating, so my attempt to hit the streets of Tabora was not possible. Hordes of people were there on the streets which makes walking even difficult, let alone stop and look at the things being sold. But consider the mob like scenario was still able to make some good purchases like rubber shoes, shirts and TOYS!! heheheh!

Care Home for our loved ones

Taking care of our elders and taking care of our children are entirely two different things as they have different needs but both are equally important. I am glad that there is a care home facility that we can rely on to give them a more specialized attention which is what they really need. Prompt attention and scrutiny of details in their cleanliness and surrounding should always be practiced as they are fragile and all should be done with love and compassion. I must admit that caring for our elders entails a lot of research and gladly it is also available online, as you can join forums and share your experiences with others and you may get to learn from them as well and apply it to taking care of our loved ones.

Starting to have a headache ... hmmm.. too much blogging kaya ... as if! Will give it a rest na nga muna, kaya lang can't resist lalo na when i remember na lapit na Christmas and see the twinkle of the eyes of the three kids when they see the toys na nakadisplay sa mga malls, talk about marketing strategy!

But hey, even Santa rests, so i will park my keyboard and hit the shops na!

First stop ... McDonalds! Yum!

Credit Cards

There are a lot of credit cards being offered today, and yes it would be nice to apply for one especially now that we are approaching the Christmas shopping. Our notion that it just happens once a year does not gives us the panic mode to just choose any of the Credit Cards available in the market. You really have to study the rates of interests, features of the card if they offer rewards programs and even annual fees should carefully be considered. We always have to keep in mind that even it feels like sky is the limit in spending using a card, we still have to pay for it in the long run, so getting the best card would really be important and beneficial to us.

Food Craving Tag

Tagged by Vina, thanks Vina!

Hmmm.. i so love to eat! I guess my comfort food at the moment (ever changing eh) has got to be Cheese Burger Meal (go big time coke and fries) at McDonalds! Just talking about it makes me crave for it na ah! I remember after i give birth and am given the go signal to eat, i usually ask Christian to buy me a cheeseburger meal ... hehehe!"Mama, you want some fries?"

Sarap din Carbonara ni Vina, kakagutom!

Good thing i am going to the mall tonight to look at the sales and of course drop by McD to get my comfort food! Yum!

Tagging anyone anyone who feels hungry right now .. hahah!

Off to Tutuban

Tomorrow is the day that i get to fulfill one of my WANTS in my previous post, am off to Tutuban tomorrow morning! I am sure it will be full of shoppers, but that wont dampen my spirits. I hope it doesn't rain though. Rain defeats the purpose of walking around the streets of Tabora and Illaya as it can really be a mud pool ... eewww! I have to bring a list of what i need to buy as i can get side tracked with the other wares there .. hehehe!

Help on moving

Moving out can really be stressful and risky because you get tired from all the packing and when you hire movers they do not handle your stuff properly and you end up having a lot of your things destroyed or even lost. One has to look for reliable and competent Moving Relocation Services in your area. I found such site where you can match where you are to the kind of professional movers you will hire, it's called Service Network. They will give you a perfect match with your needs, and you are assured that the movers that they will give you are trustworthy and have been in the business for some time and with a good track record after all they are handling things that are valuable to you. You can't go wrong with Service Network.

Kids are well

The one day rest day i gave Bea and Sam yesterday really did them good. they were really rested as they just painted and watched some tv to while away their time. I had the time to do my work too, and Vin was excited to have both his sisters home with him.

So today my two girls went to school with gusto as they just love to go to school and enjoy being with their friends. I am one lucky mom!

Weekend again

Time flies so fast, just a few post ago i was saying that i was having a lazy sunday, then now looking at the calendar, it's going to be sunday again in two days! One week has passed us by and we have accomplished a lot. I am sure the Metro will be full of ongoing sales in malls. Christmases bonuses have been released that's why all are geared to do some serious shopping this weekend. My kids have been frequenting the toy stores and obligingly pointing to the toys they are thinking of getting for Christmas... goodbye Christmas bonus! hahaha! But what the heck thats what the bonus is for, for the children, so shop away!

Savoring Europe by Car

Going around and enjoying the view, scenery and attraction in Europe is best done in a car my cousin told me. You get to be in the scene when you are up close with the surroundings as he would put it. My friends and i are thinking on embarking on such a road trip adventure and am really excited about it!

Now i have to search for some cheap yet considered the best hotels in London, best hotels in Paris, best hotels in Berlin as well as best hotels in Barcelona so i can plan our road map and enjoy each place and know it's best tourist spots so we won't be shortchanged with our trip. When accommodations have been booked online there is nothing to worry about and all are geared more on savoring the scenery and sights by car! I just love travelling by car because it gives you the freedom to go down in a particular place you fancy!

Pressed for Time

I cannot believe it, i am faced with a lot of things to do, or must i say things that i WANT to do.

I want to finish all my design work as it looks like all of them have deadlines, i want to finish uploading pictures of my finished work in my multiply site, i want to do my opps to catch up with the Christmas shopping spree, i want to blog hop, i want to answer all the queries in my emails/cellphone/website, i want to finish fixing the kids toyroom, i want to reformat my computer, i want to go to Tutuban, i want to answer all the tags, i want to buy a small pet, i want to have a relaxing facial, i want to bring the kids to the moa carnival .... just talking about it makes me want to rush and do it all!

Fantastic Hotels

Planning our coming family vacation is something that should be given considerable thoughts, where to go and where to stay. The decision to have a vacation in a particular place has to arrive at a favorable consensus among family members. There were a lot of countries being considered for next years vacation, but when France as a destination came up, all agreed in unison. So France it is!

I went on the internet and searched for nice france hotels for good places to stay. I got to see great and affordable accommodations with rates that are lower than regular hotels which is good. It was also a good site to see options for paris hotels within the area. I am drawing out our itinerary as i do not want to miss out on any great place to visit like the Eiffel tower, the Louvre and museums around the city. I have bookmarked a lot of nice hotels too so we could all discuss on where to finally go. I am sure this one vacation we will not forget!
Good friend Jody sent this friendship picture, thanks jody!

Having good friends is really something that i value, that is why i love blog hopping so i can see what my good friends are up to and leave them a smile, as good friends are valuable and priceless! Sharing this "Good Friend" picture to my new found blog friends ... Eds, Vina and Yvetchie! :)

Great Smorty

Started my blog as a way to share my thoughts and anything that is important for me, something that i really like to do. Having a blog is a perfect way to touch lives of others by sharing your experiences. You also learn something from other people's experiences by visiting their blogs too. Blogging for me was a good thing to have.

Looking at my other friends site i saw a great way to earn on the side with blog advertising and decided to try it. I joined Smorty and am now getting paid to blog! Smorty will give you tasks that might interest you to review on, and all you have to do is choose the one that you can honestly talk about and you are on your way to blog for money. I am glad i joined Smorty as i can still do the thing i like to do and still get compensated for it, getting the best of both worlds!

Rainy morning

It's so cold even after the aircon has been turned off, looked out the window and it was raining. Bea and Sam started coughing when they got off the bus yesterday. Talked to Christian and told him that i will let the two girls rest today. He said yes, it would do the girls good. I texted their teachers and told them, will call them later for the assigned work for tomorrow.

Watching old vhs tapes

Vin and i had a grand time watching the vhs tapes of bea and sam's recordings when they were still small. Vin's expressions were really classic as he was surprised that Bea also wore a diaper, hehehe! But after a while of watching it, he said "Mama, where am i there?", so i got another vh tape and watched his eyes as we looked at Sam ..hahah! He said again, this time with teary eyed look na "Where am i there?" I smiled at him and said "Cmon, let's get your cds", he said "But mama, i like also like that (pointing to the vhs cassette), why i don't have like that?" I answered, because that was before, now we use this (pointing to the dvds) obligingly he said "Okay.." hahahha!!

Counting words

Do you count your words in your post?

I am guilty of counting them so you can just imagine the smudges my computer monitor gets with finger mark smudges. Hahaha!

Wish blogger had a 'word count' feature for every post that would really save me the time, i can't seem to get the hang of "tanchahan" eh. :)

The perfect date

My cousin who was such a shy lad when he was younger looked really different when we saw each other last week in a party. He had the confidence and charisma i did not even know he possessed. He was charming and yet not sounding like a self-centered individual, he was really trying to listen to what the women are saying. It amazed me on his transformation and i quickly pulled him aside and asked me where this is coming from. He first was just brushing me aside saying he has always been like this only i did not notice being his neutral female cousin. I insisted and asked him to spill the beans.

I told him he was now without making much an effort attracting women naturally. He told me that the way to really get girls was not to try hard and just be yourself so you don't come off as being too loud and trying too hard for attention. I was truly amazed with the knowledge he has acquired and i kept on nudging him to tell me more! I said i would not leave his side until he tells me everything.

Because of my persistence he finally told me the secrets of meeting women, keeping them amused with you and even the ways on how to pick up a woman and getting dates. He told me of his new found confidence and magnetic personality came from following helpful tips on a great site specifically to help him approach the opposite sex and eventually get dates!

He then told me of the cool tips he got like how be cocky and yet still come off as a funny guy. He gamely demonstrated body languages and explained the hidden meanings on his every move. He even said he was able to donload a free ebook titled "The flow" that likewise contributed to his present confidence when around women. I am sold with the site he is talking about and was thinking fast on showing this site to some male friends of mine too. He too said that you can get dating tips straight to your email when you sign up. He got to watch videos also from the site on these tips to make it more visual.

My cousin really has turned a new leaf with this new information he is getting. He said he is doubly excited because there is an upcoming seminar on ht e 17th of this month teaching Advanced Techniques. He will surely attend that and will proudly put into good use what he will learn there. I can't wait to see him after he attend the seminar and see a more self-assured man ready to conquer the dating scene and meeting the right women.

PerfectPixelsMelisse updates

I was able to finally upload some new designs at my design website, despite the heavy load (in paid blogging hahaha!) i try and balance my time, as if there is any balance. Hay! I have also lessened some of my products which i no longer will be offering like photo bags and the different kind of guestbook, but have added a few new ones naman. I really have to keep the site updated as there are a lot of people visiting and looking at the deigns. :)

Kauai Vacation all set!

My Aunt's family has been residing in Hawaii for the longest time and up to this day they have always said that is a perfect place for a vacation! They have a long standing offer to bring us to the best places in Hawaii and experience the breath taking experience that they are accustomed with. She specifically told me about Kauai and quickly i searched the internet for Kauai vacation rentals as i do not want to burden them of letting them stay in their home. What i saw was really marvelous, was reading through Kauai Travel Blog and it really excited me to go this much awaited vacation! Finding this site really will alleviate me with accommodation arrangements as all are done online even before we go the trip. Woke up this morning with two inquiry texts on where to send their pictures they want worked on and a text saying they liked the layout of their coffeetable book and is ready to be printed! Yey! This simple text can really overwhelm me knowing that they liked what i have done for them. It is rewarding because i spent hours thinking on how to do do it and finally having it on paper hoping my client likes it.Okay, two more books to go! :)

Sleeping time

As the lullaby goes "..sleeping time has come for the baby, baby now is going to sleep ... " and the song goes in my head as i am lulled to sleep, it's going to be a busy Monday again tomorrow, i mean today ... lol! Fixed the school bags yesterday so it's really just preparing the snacks and getting them ready for school as the main tasks in the morning. Hope Vin does not wake up early so i can utilize both my hands ..hahaha! Goodnight! :)

On-line Casino

Playing in casinos is something that can really test your lucky streak and it can be entertaining and rewarding too if you know to set your limits on to how much you will play. My uncle frequents the casino as it his way to relax and meet up with his poker buddies, but lately with his discovery of an online casino in the internet he just stays home and enjoys the thrills of his favorite games in the comfort of his home complete with his soda and chips. I asked him if it is still the same excitement as if he was there in the actual casino and if he was playing online, and he said he finds on-line casino far better than actually going there as it saves him on thinking of what to wear, parking and other hassles when leaving the house. He is still raving that he can feel the rush every time he plays his favorite lucky on-line games like craps, poker, roulette and slots. He is one lucky man when it comes to playing his games.
