Models Treat

The "models" were treated to their favorite chicken meal, Kentucky Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes! They all helped themselves to second and with Bea's case third helpings. Tee hee! No model figure to ruin just yet ... all growing kids need all the grow food they can get!

Swollen

I knew it was going to happen ....

The final episode of my favorite (at the moment that is) made me cry on several occasions, mushy me. I know being exposed to showbusiness all my life (my Lolo, Lola and Papa are all in the movie and theater world) that it is all make believe .. hahaha! It still struck a nerve. I noticed that i have been more expressive with my feelings since i got kids .... is there a connection there somewhere ... lol!

So here i am with swollen eyes and a throbbing headache, tee hee! I have to help my cousin search for medical job listing for her to consider when she graduates in two month from nursing school. She has been very good to me so i feel i should at least do something nice for her in return, after all what is family for?

Holiday

Its going to be a long weekend next week. Just watched the news and President Noynoy just announced a holiday on Friday, September 10 to mark the end of Ramadan.

In as much as i love weekends ... i love long weekends more!

Last Night

Tonight is the last night of Agua Bendita, a soap that i have been watching for some time. It had a nice story and am looking forward to the next soap that will be starting next Monday.

Date Night

It has been ages since Christian and i ahve been out on a real date .. haha!

But if things work out well we might just go with it this weekend. Christian took the liberty and got us theater tickets and i was really thrilled on the propect of going out and reminicing our single day dates. I remember when we were still dating we would always go on movie dates every weekend and would even go to different theaters because we watched all the movies in that theater.

I will make arrangements with my mama so the kids can stay with her while we go out on our long awaited date night. Yey!

My Baby Is Now A Lady

My twelve year old little girl transformed into a lady in just a few minutes. She was chosen to be one of the models for an international childrens magazine and here we are at the photo shoot. Bea was a natural and smiled her way throughout the pictorial.

I was teary eyed for a few moments especially when everybody said that Bea looked like she was getting ready for the prom. sob. sniff.

Looks like my baby is blossoming to a beautiful lady pretty soon.

Vacay

I love going on vacations!

And we are happily looking forward to a long Christmas Break not to mention a long semestral break that will be coming this October. I love planning for these much needed vacations and i really want to make sure that we use these days well, seize the day as i always say. Even when i was smaller, our family was big on vacations and spending quality time is really important to us maybe that is why now that i have my own family i still hold this true. I am looking at different places to visit and have that vacation, on the list is a Disneyland Tour, Branson vacations, Hong Kong or Singapore Trip is definitely one of the choices.

I am fortunate that my kids have no problems with travelling and they are quite big now so packing for them will surely be a breeze. They already know how to take responsibilities so delegating them with things to do before and during the trip will surely come in handy. I will gather all the information i need and present them them choices and hopefully in one sitting we get to make a choice and make up our itinerary soonest. The kids will surely have a great time wherever we go as long as we are together and good planning nothing can go wrong .... can't wait for vacation to start!

Driver's Permit

Having njust had my birthday that means i have a few things to renew and one of those is my Driver's License. I will be scheduling it by next week and will wait for Christian to go on a leave to accompany me as it is a long process. Having it renewed takes up an entire day, so i am thinking of scheduling the renewal of our car insurance at the same time so i get to hit two birds with one stone. Our car registration will not expire till end of the year, but had it been just weeks from now i will too have it renewed to make my time at the office worthwhile.

I wonder what the man manning the camera for the id picture for my license will tell me when i flash my pearly whites, since i always have been told to not smile and keep a serious face ... hahaha!

BIRTHday!

I marked my 41st year last Monday! Whoohoo! They say 'life begins at 40' and i have always believed that it is not true ... my life has started long time ago and am happy with how it is going. I have so many things to be thankful for. My family is one important aspect in my life and they give me the happiness that i did not think i have not yet felt when i was growing up. They can make me reach the highest level of happiness just by being with them and having fun.

I am so blessed.

I cherish my family time which is why i always make it a point to plan bonding moment activities and the kids just love to travel to different places and explore a new place together. I have been contemlating these past few weeks as to where to go next, i was able to go and think about taking different kind of places to visits, i am reviewing family tours like Branson vacation packages and other packages that we can avail to make it more reasonably priced. I really want to treat the kids to a much earned vacation as soon as school is out. I am getting excited just thinking about it!

Exams Completed

Yes!

After a gruelling weekend creating seven examinations for my students, finally we finished exam week today! TGIF! Hahaha!

I was a proctor for the students of grade three for two days making sure they understood the instructions in all the tests in several subjects. I brought along my books so i could jumpstart my lesson plan for the next weeks regular classes. I had to make sure i fiz my lessons because anothe rbig event is coming in school and we will be start practicing for the event and that means missed classes to give way to practices. I have been asked to do the costumes aside from teaching my students dance moves, i will have to look for someone who can provide us colorful hats, pink ties and black flats.

Our school is big on school programs, so i really have to make good and deliver what is asked of me. Goodluck to me!

Exam Week Soon

It is the time again ... exams.

This time around not only will i start reviewing the kids for their exams but i will be making the exams ... hahaha!

I have seven examinations to do, and i gave myself a deadline to finish everything by Friday so i can review the kids during the weekend in time for next week's exam days.

I am loving my new role, but i have to say it is not an easy task ... hurray to the ladies who have been teachers for a very long time and are still good at it ... i have only been a teacher for three months and it is really challenging.

Hail the teachers! Tee hee! :)

Complete

This is the entire Avellana Family, my side of the family. I have two sisters and one brother. I look at this picture and marvel on how we have grown to become a big family and yet remain as close as we can ever be no matter that we all are living separately now. I have contributed three beautiful kids to the family, aside from Christian of course, lol!

We are planning to have our photos taken professionally this month, you know the kind where we are all seated on contemporary sofas and lounge chairs, maybe have poses of siblings only then grandchildren only and maybe shots per family and of course the all together pose, even wacky shots too!

My suggestion is to bring plain colored clothes so we can color coordinate ourselves per shot. I am so excited for this pictorial, i am sure it would look really nice!

Seat Sale

I have always wondered what it would be like to avail of the airline seat sale that has been going on for some time. I would go online and check out their websites and try to try my luck to get cheap airfare and maybe make an imprmptu trip somewhere with the family. But up to this day i have yet to see my luck shine on me as all the bookings i made are all sold out. I know the time will come that i will finally nail it. Here's to me getting good and affordable seats in the future! Cheers!

Helping Out

Now that my girls are growing up they are slowly gaining interest on what i do at home and how they can help me, yey me! Hahaha! I have never really asked for their help in anything in the house i want it to come from them ... and yes the time has arrived! Bea wants to help in the cooking while Sam wants to wash the dishes for me. It wouldn't be bad if i had a nice gas stove that is accident proof so i don't get worried that Bea might get hurt when she helps me in the cooking part and maybe have an installed Insinkerator disposals for the sink area to have ease in the washing the dished part. I am so proud of my girls and what they have become, always trying to think of ways to help me around the house in any way they can. Without my asking them they look out for Vin all the time, fix their bed whenever they wake up and even set the table during mealtimes. Soon the day will come that i will just be leisurely sipping an iced drink after dinner while i look at my girls taking over the kitchen .... hehehe! I can dream can't i? Tee hee!

Mmm....Pizza

One of the places where our entire family likes ti eat is any pizza parlor ... but if you ask me nothing beats Shakey's Pizza! The best for me no matter how many new pizzeria comes to town. I love the thin crust pizzas and of course the oh so famous 'Bunch of lunch' that has all my cravings covered, chicken, pizza, garlic bread and mojos ...yum! Just writing about it makes me want to eat it.

I will defintely visit Shakey's within the week ... can't wait ... hehehe!

Whheeee

My kids just love the playground and the first thing they go to and try out are the giant slides that they take at the same time. If there is only one slide they go all lined up together or if there are seperate ones they make race out of it. But no matter how fast the other one gets they always make it a point to wait and look out for each other. They also like these kinds of slides in swimming pools, i just have to ask Chrstian to get on it first and to check on the safety of it and to wait for them at the end of the slide and catch then especially if the slide ends in deep water. Our small pool at home is still under renovation, still have to shop around for some pool pumps to get the water in the pool in half the time instead of using a hose which will take forever to fill up. I have to do it this weekend though and hold on to whatever summer fever is still hanging in the air ... rainy season is up ahead.

Mall Mission

Christian will be having his birthday in a few days and the kids and i have set up a date on Friday to embark on a mission to find gifts for the special event. I keep asking him if he has any special present he wants to receive but the same answer is what i get, "I just want to spend it with you and the kids". In as much as this may be true there still is the pleasure of looking for the perfect gift and see his suprised face whenever he opens a present. Of course we will be going to look at some tried and tested gifts like men's polo shirts, cologne and after shave products that we always give him every year. I am excited to go this shopping spree with the kids because they have interesting inputs on to what to give their Papa this year.

It's going to be my birthday next month too ... wonder if they too will do some serious shopping for me ... hahaha!

Cool Nights Ahead

The time has come where the night delivers a cool breeze, a welcoming treat after a long bout of dry and humid weather. I love the rain and love the cool air it gives, it really can make me feel very relaxed. I may be different from others but i love going out when it rains, rain does not stop me from enjoying my day, i thrive on rain. It sure would be nice to go out and sit on the patio sipping iced tea and having an outdoor fireplace to boot to enjoy the relaxing night, a great and perfect way to settle down and call it a day. That would be the life!

Official Mixer

You know who is the official mixer now huh?

Vin just loves to help mix ... did i mention that he does not like eating it ... hehehe! Whenever we eat here i order a different food for him from a different restaurant and take it out so he can eat it here with us.

Mix

I just love eating at Pepper Lunch! I have yet to finish one order on my own though ... hahaha! I always share my order with Sam and i enjoy watching Vin help me in cooking my dish. He loves mixing it for me and putting sauce, extra garlic sauce for me! In as much as i want to eat a lot i still am not forgetting my dream to be fit and keep weight gain to a very minimum which is why i am still on the lookout for
weight loss formulas that will work for me. Losing weight on the
hand does not mean cutting on bonding time during meal times ... that will forever stay constant.

First and Third

Bea my first and Vin my third loves playing together, especially if it is creating something with their hands. We were at the mall last weekend looking for polo boots when my two kiddies entered a Lego store and started making some designs. Even if just for a short time you can see how they enjoyed each others company playing and bonding together. These are moments that make my heart jump for joy ... love being a mama!

Burn Baby Burn

My quest to trim down really is a serious goal for me, no stone unturned to get to my goal and what more i am giving myself a deadline. I must be able to do it within a month and yet not compensate my health. I would not want to lose it dangerously, i bought some fat burners and will be back to my slim form in less time. I will take a picture of my tummy area before i do anything and stick it by the refrigirator door to help motivate me more, and will definitely take a picture of my after soon enough. I know if i will be determined i will succeed, it is all in my hands, i know i can do it ... and i will!

Chatting

Chatting is one of the things that i like to do when i am online, i love the real time exchanges, sure beats email correspondence. Here you can talk about just about anything and get replies super fast! We can even exchange links and pictures we want to share with each other. I chat mostly in yahoo messenger and facebook chat, but sometimes some of my design clients engage in chat at multiply. The last chat session with my friend we talked about the latest apidexin scam and so glad that we could easily exchange ideas and views as freely and as fast, not to mention in chatting your humor and personality syill shines as there are a lot of emoticons that you can use to express yourself more. I wonder how we could have survived online communication without the invention of chatting windows.

New Role

I can't believe that after thirteen years of being married and being unemployed i now embark on a new role ... teaching. Yes, teaching my kids for twelve years is nothing new to me but a teaching job is a totally different ballgame. Whenever i tell someone that i will be going back to the working force as a teacher they all say that they are sure i will be at ease there. I had apprehensions and was nervous on the first day of classes ... but i nailed it and sailed smoothly on my first day ... and believe it or not i am on to my second month as a full pledged teacher! I am enjoying myself especially since i see the kids enjoying the lessons and watch them learn new things. I cannot discount though that teaching is no easy task, it can really be draining. Imagine when night time comes i am so pooped that it looked that i popped some sleeping pills as i cannot keep myself awake till midnight, something that i have been used to doing. I normally sleep at three in the morning, but now by ten o'clock i can't wait to lie down and close my eyes .. hahaha!

It is tiring, no denying that but it is truly a rewarding experience!

True Or False

I have seen it so many times on tv ... the product that supposedly will answer all the problems of hair loss for men and i am totally convinced with the ad that they are running. Christian has been developing bald spots and i don't think this is the time for this as he is too young to be bald. I am actually considering on buying the product for him as a gift for his birthday but i still am contemplating on this decision. It is a bit pricey and i am yet to meet someone who has actually used the product to give me a known testimonial. I actually posted it as a shout out on my facebook account asking if anyone has tried or has know anyone who has tried it .. but i still do not have any replies. If i will rely on the ad it would surely be a "go" for me ... i wonder is this true or false? I guess the only thing for me to do is buy and try it out .. like the saying goes, "nothing venturesd, nothing gained", and boy do we need to gain ... hehehe!

Bayo Sale

I am not much of a clothes lover person but Bayos's mid year sale left me craving for more. I was looking for a pink blouse to replace my pink top that was given to me in a smaller size and i chanced upon Bayo boutique yesterday and was suprised with the good selection of colothes and t, i wasake note all items are discounted at 50%! I was more suprised to find a black pair of slacks priced originally more than a thousand and is now marked down to two hundred fifty! Luckily, it fit me ... but that was after attempting to fit myself in my old size and settled for three sizes bigger ... hahaha! I have gained tremendously since the last time i shopped for clothes! I saw alot of good looking jeans but alas none of them fit me, i might consider taking up on my friends recomendation to her best weight loss supplement to regain my svelte figure ...hahah! I sure missed out on a lot of good buys had i not gained some inches. I will really work hard to trim down ... and fast!

Planning

I really want to go to HongKong next summer! I want it so much that i can actually taste it. I want to bring my kids to Disneyland while they still have the interest for it, though i have yet to meet someone who won't get excited to go to the magical place on earth ... hahaha!

I have been going through websites of airlines looking for the best deal there is and sort of testing the waters of how much it will cost us. I make mock bookings to check on possible itinerary so i could have a real feel of how much we have to prepare to go on this vacation, i surely would not want to go through a travel emergency on my hands, that is why i am keeping all areas covered. I am trying to get the best date to go and the best deal there is so we still have enough money for going around the place and shopping.

Hopefully, we can make this trip ... keeping my fingers crossed!
